Oregon Agricultural Heritage Program: A New Opportunity for Working with Working Lands

July 1, 2022

Tuesday, July 19th, 2-3:30PM

Via Zoom

Description: The Oregon Agricultural Heritage Program (OAHP) was recently established by the Oregon State Legislature and housed at the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB). The program is designed to facilitate the integration of agricultural viability with the conservation of natural resources. In this webinar, we’ll explore the core grant programs associated with OAHP, how they fit together, and spend time discussing what we envision to be components of successful applications and projects. Grant applications for the purchase of Conservation Easements/Covenants as well as developing Conservation Management Plans will become available this fall (2022). The program will also include support for Succession Planning, Technical Assistance, and the implementation of Conservation Management Plans — these grants will likely become available in 2023 pending funding from the Oregon State legislature.

Speaker: Taylor Larson, OWEB Agricultural Heritage Program Coordinator
