As watershed councils, conservation districts and land trusts shift to having multiple staff, coordinators quickly learn what it means to be a manager. Presenters will discuss considerations for hiring new staff, the process, onboarding and training, policies and procedures, solving human resource issues, and lessons learned from professionals who have been through this process. Presenters will also discuss transitioning from being a colleague and peer to becoming a supervisor.
