Session Description:

This 75-minute Zoom session will include selected examples of xenophobia in Asian American history, followed by strategies we can all act on as leaders, individuals and organizations to support Asian American Pacific Islanders. As conservation organizations deeply embedded in communities across Oregon, it is critical to understand the history and experience of the stakeholders we serve. This session provides dedicated space for conservation professionals to learn and listen about the history of exclusion for Asian American Pacific Islanders and how it informs the present day. The session will include opportunities for chat box interactions, and a short break-out discussion, and Q&A at the end.
